I've been teaching in an Early Childhood setting for 22 years and babysitting for 33. I have all of my clearances and FBI fingerprints from my teaching position I've been at for 11 years. I've worked with infants to high school seniors. In my first position I was the toddler teacher, preschool teacher and assistant director. My next position I was preschool, prek and in the summers I planned different themed activities, including field trips and was in charge of the older children from 2nd to 6th grade. I stayed home with my children for three years before going to my present company. I started in the young toddler room, 1-2 year olds and I was in every room including the kitchen to help out. I moved to a closer center where I worked in the older toddler room for 2 years, the infant room for 6 months and the Read more preschool room for 8 years before going back to older toddlers for the last year and a half. I'm also the unofficial assistant director since my center is too small for an official one My goal is to eventually teach early childhood to other adults since I enjoy the mentoring part of my job immensely. I love working with children and I'm frequently asked to watch the children in my care by my families since they know they can trust me. I also love to keep the children in my care busy with cooking, field trips and other activities that are fun and teach!
