I have 4 grown children of my own. They are two boys ages 38 and 36 and two girls ages 34 and 33. I have 11 grandchildren ranging in ages 17 down to 3. I did babysitting during the years my children were growing up many years ago and presently watch two of my grandchildren. They are outgrowing the need for me to babysit at this point as their ages are now 15 and 11. I have watched them for the past 5 or 6 years. This was a full time job in the summertime and only par time during the school year. As need during the school year I would pack their lunches and put them on the bus in the morning and then be at the bus stop in the afternoon for their arrival home. During the summer months we had access to a pool so I was also familiar with watching them swim. I also babysit for my daughter's two children occasionally. She has a boy who is 8 years old and a daughter who is 6 years old. My daughter has a job that requires her to travel sometimes for seminars or training. When this occurs it's usually for a week or two at a time. She lives two and a half hours away from me so I usually drive to her home and stay with the children while she's away. I take care of everything for them! I prepare all meals, pack lunches for school, drop them off at their daycare before school program at the Y to keep up the schedule they are used to and then pick them up at the Y at the after school program. We go home, I make sure homework is completed, dinner is prepared and finished, we usually do some sort of craft or play a game and then I give them showers and they call mom and dad and off to bed.
