Hi there!! My name is Sylvia and I am looking to secure a position as a sitter or a nanny. I have excellent experience and references! I tutored a Korean boy for almost two years in English. He passed his ESL test wonderfully. Actually his teacher said he is a chatterbox now! He used to be so shy and now has many friends and is in sports! I worked with families who had children with disabilities and taught the parents coping skills. I taught them what to do during stressful times, when the children are in crisis, and unfortunately there are many of those. I am currently working with 2 boys age 6 and 8 and sadly my assignment is ending in June when they go overseas for the summer. The 6 year old went to the Baum School of Art and I work with him to further advance his Read more skills in the arts and the I teach cooking to the 8 year old. They are amazing children! I am a very loving, caring, and a fun person who is a kid at heart and I think that's why I have so much fun with kids. I'm very interactive with them. I do not sit on the couch watching TV and text. As a matter of fact none of my children in my care have watched TV. I am an artist, which allows me to teach and have fun with children. I am reliable, have my own transportation, I am punctual and a non smoker. I do not increase my rate over $17 if there is more than 2 children. I did caregiving/hospice for 10 years and have excellent references. I have 2 son and 9 grandchildren so I have plenty of experience!
