Hello families! I'm a student at Brown University in the United States. I'm graduating in May with a degree in history, and I'm excited to get out into the world. I've had many different kinds of jobs in my (short) life, including in office environments and in the service industry, but the only job that I have ever truly loved was being a nanny. I have been working with my most recent family for three years, and becoming part of the family and being with my girls brings me so much joy. I'm a firm believer in following happiness, and that is my most important reason for wanting to be a nanny. I believe we have a lot to learn (and unlearn) from spending time with children. I also believe I have a lot to offer the world of childcare. I'm very sweet and open, and I work to establish trust and a true bond. When children ask me difficult questions, I do my best to answer them, and I always value their input. I believe children are humans with a mind and a voice, and they usually know their own desires and needs better than anyone else. However, I am no-nonsense when it comes to my expectations, and I don't shy from discipline. I understand that, more often than not, children need an advocate. I see my role as a big sister, a guide, an advocate, and a friend. Therefore, I am looking for a full-time nannying position in New York City starting in May or June of this year and lasting at least one or two years.
