My name is Yonae Stewart; I am a graduate of Bowie State University completing my B.S in Communications. I work as a site Director currently with a non profit in the City of Philadelphia specializing in after school care for middle schoolers. I have well over 5 years in education, with also various roles in early childhood education, as well as babysitting. Working with kids for so many years, I have come to understand that children come into the world with a blank slate. The experiences, environment, adults, as well as surroundings are what shape them into who they become. I feel our responsibility as parents and teachers is to provide children with the best possible education, knowledge, and choices so they are able to grow to their maximum potential. I believe that children should be given the ability to become independent individuals by setting limits with positive discipline, praise, Read more and encouragement.
