I am English originally from London. I have lived in the States for over 30 years. Currently I am a ParaProfessional at a local School District. I ran a Daycare from my home for 3 years and have worked for 2 leading Preschools as the Head teacher for a total of 13 years. I have my CDA which is the pre-school equivalent of an associates degree in early education . I was employed as a part-time nanny of an adorable 3 and 1 year old brother and sister until they relocated out of state. I held this position for over 3 years. I have very good working relationships with parents, which helps me to provide the correct care their child needs. I love working with children. It is such a joy when you can play a game with them or read a book and they learn something from you. It always amazes and humbles me when children cry and you can pick them up, hug them and they stop crying. I love making a difference in a child's life. It is a great feeling!

I just wanted to leave a quick note about Irene. I've used many websites to find sitters...and we've had many.... Irene is by far the best we've ever had. I'm reluctant writing this because selfishly I don't want to share :) She was absolutely wonderful with our 14month old son. He immediately took to her. She played with him on the floor, even taught him some more sign language (we already do this as well), colored with him. We will most definitely be hiring Irene for any outing that my husband and I have for as long as we are here in Philly.
