Hello! I am a 22 year-old college graduate with a B.A. in Psychology, including classes taken in child development. I have always enjoyed working with children and have a wide range of experience, including experience with children facing special challenges. My first job was as a child care worker for the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA from age 13-16! I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infancy to 13 years old. From January 2017- May 2017, I worked as a student counselor in an after school program with children facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, and who had experienced trauma. My job duties included not only creating and implementing daily lesson plans on skills for the children, but also ensuring their safety. I received training in ways to safely handle children who may endanger themselves or others, and have cared for my children both as a group and often Read more times one-on-one. I cared for a child needing special behavioral attention, and feel confident in my ability to provide the best care for each individual child based on their unique personalities and needs. I really enjoy cooking healthy meals and am happy to do light housework, cooking, and cleaning. I love kids, and they enjoy my energetic, playful, and positive attitude. After graduating, I hope to continue caring for kids and providing a safe, fun environment for them to thrive in!
