I am the oldest child in my family by eight years, and I began babysitting my younger cousins and brother when I was ten years old. At the age of 12 I picked up a babysitting job for a local family who had a 4 and 6 year old child. From 8th grade through my sophomore year of high school I served as the youth representative on my church council and was in charge of organizing events and being responsible for the children who attended them. These events included bowling, movies, and even overnight retreats where i would be in charge of minimum 6 children and maximum 20. I continued this throughout high school even after leaving the council in order to see the smiles on children's faces. Throughout high school I also picked up babysitting jobs for four of my teachers. I am a certified lifeguard and certified in Read more CPR/First Aid. I have been trained to deal with freak accidents in which one must remain calm.
