I've taken care of neighbor's children as young as 10 months old. Tasks include feeding, changing(diapers or outfits), putting down for naps or bedtime, etc. I assisted my mother with taking care of my little sister, who currently is almost 8. In high school, I took a child care class where we actually conducted a preschool setting with about 7 kids from ages 3-5. We taught them various topics such as numbers, letters, animals, types of transportation, feelings and getting along, colors, etc. Then, we'd serve a small snack, make sure everyone had their coats, the crafts they made that day, and escort them to the designated pickup area. I've also taken home the mechanical baby for 48 hours. I know it's nothing compared to a real 3mo old, but I've still had some experience with infants.
