Hello! I am a 22-year-old speech-language pathology student at La Salle University. I have been babysitting since I was a teenager, a tutor on my college campus, and a preschool enrichment teacher. I have all of my clearances and background checks as well as my CPR Certification. I am high energy and I really enjoy being active and outdoors. I have always enjoyed working with people and I became interested in working with those with special needs because of my uncle who has microcephaly. I began working with those who have special needs as a one-on-one assistant in an Autistic Support classroom in an Extended School Year (ESY) program. During my time as a one-on-one assistant I kept students on task, focused, and handled behavioral issues and controlled repetitive behavioral disorders through the child's motivation. From there I began working as an overnight counselor at Variety Club Camp of Philadelphia Read more which is a camp for children ages 7-21 who have various special needs. As a counselor, I guided campers in participating successfully in all aspects of camp activities and created a comfortable environment for campers.
