I have been babysitting since I was 14. Most of the families I babysat for had children who were about 2-3 years old and some were 5-7. One family had a puppy and I was also given instructions to care for him along with the children, so animals are not a problem. All throughout high school I worked in a daycare at a church every Sunday and for other special church related events. The children ranged from 8 months old to 9 years old. Last summer I worked at ESF camps which was a very wonderful learning experience as I looked after about 20 children a day who were all around 6 years old. At ESF, I was trained to deal with many different emergencies including how to properly use an epipen if need be. I was in the pool daily with the children and took care of sunscreen, lunch, Read more and snack for them as well as always keeping them entertained and having fun. I learned how to calm down children and connect with them at ESF and will apply my skills to all children I look after. I really love working with kids and am planning on doing so for my future career in Psychology.
