Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m a junior at Millersville University and my major is Nursing. I’m going to school to be a midwife and plan to work as a NICU or Peds nurse once I get my RN. I chose my career path because I love kids but especially babies, and the chance to be able to help them along is extremely rewarding to me. My brother, Matthew (22 years old) has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, so the two hemispheres of his brain cannot communicate which leads to severe mental handicap. He does require round the clock care because he cannot walk, talk, feed himself. etc. so I have experience with that for 10+ years. He’s my only sibling and I love him a ton. ❤️ I have my American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification along with all updated vaccines, background/child abuse clearances, and negative drug tests since it’s required for Read more school. I’ve had nearly all of my clinical experiences in nursing but I still have Advanced Med Surg and Peds to go. I have a service dog in training with Susquehanna Service Dogs at home so I love being around dogs, but also cats and taking care of them. I also walk dogs and dog sit. My schedule varies from week to week a tad with classes on Mondays and Wednesdays until around noon and clinicals on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4 at the latest. My class on Wednesdays is every other week, and my clinicals on Tuesdays are on the alternative week. I'm free most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
