I have been caring for children at A.I Dupont Hospital for Children for over 2 years now. I have had the opportunity to care and having training for children of all ages. I work as a nursing assistant and a sitter where I am responsible for helping the nurses and patients with activities of daily living and caring for patients when they need a little extra support. Another very important part of my job is relaying information back to parents and the care team. The skills that I have learned form this job have helped me become a reliable and well rounded care giver who is prepared for anything. More importantly, I love kids. I love finding new and fun ways to engage their minds and keep them busy. I am the kind of sitter that your child will be safe whit but will always have a good time. I Read more also have several years of experience working for the YMCA in their before and afterschool programs where I had the privilege for being a site director for a year in a program with over 60 kids. Most of the knowledge gained from this job was in working with school age children and how to help them with their homework and keep them busy with fun yet educational activities. Over the summer at the YMCA I worked at childwatch where I was responsible for watching the infant and toddlers. Additionally, during the summer i cared for 3-5 kids a day who we took on educational field trips and did minor curriculum based activities with. I started babysitting on the side in middle school. I have 9 brothers and sisters so i have had experience in my family as well. I am a huge advocate of hands on activities. I like taking the kids outside or playing games with them that involves mental stimulation and imagination. I am willing to prepare food and transport to activities. I love kids and hope to help them in the future. I am currently working on becoming a pediatric nurse. If you have any questions about me or my background, please do not hesitate to ask.
