Hi, I’m Amber! I am currently a freshman at Penn State, and I am majoring in Childhood and Early Adolescent Education. During my junior and senior years of high school I was a counselor at a program called Outdoor Education for the fifth graders in our elementary schools. The program is a two-day camp with one overnight stay in a cabin with seven to ten fifth grade students in each cabin. I also babysat for families in my neighborhood when I lived at home for multiple families starting when I was thirteen. I became a caregiver because I love working with kids, and I love helping people. Working with kids is what I want to do for the rest of my life, so I want to get as much experience as possible before becoming a teacher!
