Hello! My name is Deirdre and I am a certified K-12 Elementary/English teacher. I spent last year teaching an amazing group of 3rd graders in North Carolina. I am now in Philadelphia working in Development for an independent school on the Main Line. I am loving my career change, but miss spending my days with little ones! I started caring for children at age 11 by working as a mother's helper and haven't stopped since! I babysat for countless families in high school and paid my way through college caring for 3 wonderful little girls. I have experience caring for infants (twins!), special needs children, and teenagers. From 2005-2009, I was a lead party host at a children's entertainment center, winning "Host of the Year" in 2006. My responsibilities included managing up to 30 children, planning activities, and leading dance parties. As a former educator with experience in grades 1 and 3, I am familiar with Common Core and can support your child's learning with resources and strategies used in the classroom.
