I grew up with an aunt and uncle; I lived with two cousins eight and ten years younger than me. I was often responsible for watching them after school because of my aunt and uncle's work schedules. Routine was important in our house, so we followed a schedule with snack time, homework, dinner, and baths. As I got older, some of my cousin's schoolmates needed sitters during the summer, so I began babysitting for another family as well. When I was small, I didn't have a lot of structure, so I enjoy contributing to a feeling of stability in a home environment. I'm interested in making a connection with a family and finding a long-term position. I have eventual plans for graduate school, but right now I want to pay off my undergraduate degree. I'm hoping to babysit during the day and continue to waitress at night.
