Hello! I am a current university student pursuing a degree in early childhood education. I have a passion for learning and love working with children. As such, over the last 10 years I have dedicated myself to tutoring primary and elementary grade students as well as taking care of children from newborns to 13 years of age through relatives and fellow community members. Throughout high school and college, I have volunteered for and taken part in various youth events and activities at my local recreation center and library covering literacy, the sciences and the arts. Using these experiences and the education I have gained thus far, I have been directly involved in helping children learn educational concepts in both fun and interactive ways. As a care taker, my main responsibilities include preparing meals, snacks, providing creative activities/entertainment and playing outdoors. When taking care of infants and toddlers, my primary responsibilities Read more include preparing food and feeding the little ones, changing diapers, bath time, nap time and playtime. I am bi-lingual speaking both English and Spanish, a skill which I use to educate children from families interested in learning a foreign language. I also have experience with children that have GERD, colic and multiple allergies including gluten, soy, dairy and nuts. Additionally, I am familiar with and have experience with vegan/vegetarian diets. I am certified in both babysitting basics and pediatric and adult family first aide & CPR through the American Red Cross. I look forward to working with a family full-time for the summer months (May through August) and part-time throughout the year. Thank you!
