  • Comfortable with pets

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile. I appreciate your time! My name is Jess Plummer, a young professional in Philadelphia working at a nonprofit (The Food Trust) where I serve as the executive assistant and volunteer coordinator. I moved here a year ago when I started at The Food Trust. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a degree in health behavior science and a minor in public health. I grew up in a family with 4 girls. My mom homeschooled us, and we spent countless hours together as a result. I'm incredibly close to my family and love them dearly. I feel blessed to have been able to spend so much time with my sisters growing up. While my family lives in Delaware, we still see one another regularly and chat on a daily basis. I'm the oldest, meaning that Read more I began babysitting at a young age (informally and for free, of course) for my little sisters. Our house was the neighborhood hub where everyone wanted to be. My mom cooked for our friends regularly and taught homeschool classes in our kitchen. Some of our friends even asked to be homeschooled with us! I was on the older end of kids in the neighborhood and babysat for many neighborhood families throughout middle and high school. I feel very comfortable taking care of children of all ages, from infants to teens. I love to cook, travel, workout, run, read, spend time with friends and family, listen to podcasts, garden, hike and bike, attend potlucks, watch documentaries and be outside whenever I can. I would be a great babysitter for your family for several reasons: 1. I love kids and have lots of experience with children (8+ years). 2. I like to cook and would be more than happy to make dinner for your children. 3. I enjoy helping others learn and would jump in whenever needed to help with homework. 4. I'm flexible and can change my schedule very easily to accommodate last-minute sitter help. Living in Center City, I'm very close to all routes of public transportation and can get to you quickly. 5. I'm responsible. I work full-time and understand the importance of clear communication and being on time. In addition, being an executive assistant requires superb attention to detail. 6. I'm ok with staying late as late as you need me to if you need a night out! 7. I really enjoy pets and would love to help take care of your furry friends (I miss my family's dog everyday!).
