Hi! My name is Elaine, I will be student teaching for my final semester at Saint Joseph's University this upcoming fall. I am currently located near SJU campus and will be moving to the Fairmount neighborhood later in the summer. A little bit more about me: I am a Secondary Education and Spanish major and Religious Studies minor at school. I love learning and have aspirations to be a bilingual educator. I am also a member of the Saint Joe's women's cross country and track and field teams. Additionally, in 2014 I enlisted in the PA Army National Guard as a Financial Management Specialist and currently work for them one weekend a month out of my unit in Central Pennsylvania. I am originally from Michigan but I have lived in Oxford, PA for most of my life. As far as my babysitting experience goes, I typically babysit for one or Read more two families for semi-regular hours and an extended period of time, though I am of course open to babysitting for odd hours and nights out! In previous summers, I have babysat for two boys (7 and 11) during the work day and a family of four (boys 1, 7, and 9 and a girl 3) for nights. I also helped to nanny for the family of four and six more cousins (all ages infant to 10) in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. For three school years now, I regularly watched a now 6 (3 when I met him!!! so big!) year old boy while his mom was at work. Each day, I picked him up from school, prepared his dinner, and got some playtime in with him for about two hours. Right now, I am conducting theology research at Saint Joe's, and my hours are very flexible. I babysit for my cousins some weekday mornings, but am looking for work to fill in the rest of the gaps in my week! I will be fairly busy during the school year with student teaching and competing, but could work with flexible concerning evenings and weekends. I have lots of energy and love doing activities, but also love to get to know kids and be involved in their daily lives through helping with homework and doing what they love! I am also open to nannying and helping with chores around the house, whatever would make things easier on you, the families! Please consider me as a babysitter!
