Having two younger cousins Lola (age 8) and Sophia (age 10) , a niece just only 7 mo. old, and a younger brother (age 10), I've had to step in the babysitting role as the older sibling when the adults needed a night out. For the past 6 years, I think I've mastered the art of babysitting. So my experience is pretty extensive and continuing. I have more professional experience with caregiving as I currently work at Southampton Estates Retirement Community, a home for elders in which I would tend to their needs as a dietary aid. Always showing a friendly smile and genuine compassion not only is something I do constantly on the job, but something that's part of who I am. Patience is something I've most definitely improved in my time being in this job. I am not certified in anything special, but because of my job, we are required to have taken tests and review material to inform us of any and all kinds of work malfunctions, such as fires, blood spills and first aid, dietary precautions, etc. so I assure you, as a babysitter, you're children will always be in a safe and supervised environment.
