Hello! I'm 22, a college senior (open and flexible class schedule) with nearly 10 years of babysitting and childcare experience. I've always found it easy to be around children and began babysitting for family at a young age. Throughout middle and high school I had several families I regularly babysat for. In addition to being a sitter, I've been a camp counselor, mentor, tutor, and elementary school aftercare aide. I also have more formal teaching experience working with adult learners on reading comprehension and writing skills. I'm more than happy to provide homework help and am very familiar with k-6 subjects. It's important to me that I get to know your child's unique and individual personality, and that they feel safe and comfortable with me. I've worked with children of all ages and dispositions and believe that there is no such thing as a "bad kid", just a child who Read more feels they are not being listened to and misunderstood. I'm not a passive sitter by any means and like to plan activities or little adventures (with your permission, of course) to keep us entertained. Pets are fine with me. A dog that needs to be walked is a great way to get outside and be active. I do not have a car, but I live in the Washington Square West area and am comfortable walking or taking public transportation to you.
