Take care!*** My name is Laura & I’m a 2009 graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in Theatre Performance & Musical Theatre. For 3 years, I found another passion in a full-time career teaching preschool (NAEYC accredited school for students ages 18 mos to 5 years), as well as art, music & gymnastics for a child enrichment program (children ages 5 months to 7 yrs) in Manhattan. At this school, I quickly went from being a beginner teacher to the assistant manager of my location. I made my move to Philly in 2016 & decided to go back to my roots of nannying, while also occasionally pursuing my Read more performance career (based on availability). Since moving to Philly in January of 2016, I've worked with families consistently in Newtown, Bensalem, Philadelphia, Ardmore, Wayne and Wynnewood. I spent the last 1.5 years as a lead teacher in the infant room at the Bala Cynwyd School for Young Children. Additionally, I have experience working with children with special needs. For a short period of time, I worked as a PCA for a child with special needs in his school setting. I decided to move on to a more flexible job, so I could further pursue my performance passions. I am the oldest of 3 girls & I have been babysitting since the age of 12, where I gained experience in watching infants as young as 3 mos. Not only am I a theatrical performer and voiceover artist, but I also have extensive experience in directing & teaching the arts. I find that theatre & art are brilliant ways for children to express themselves, while making it easier for me to communicate with them. I am currently still performing & I am only ever looking for a family that will be understanding & supportive of this passion of mine - Open & honest communication is very important to me. I consider myself to be very easy-going & easy to get along with, as well as reliable & responsible. I am CPR & First Aid certified, as well as cleared by the state of PA for criminal background, fingerprinting & child abuse (all requirements by the Dept. of Ed.). Laura has been an absolute godsend to our family! She is fun, easy going, and incredibly sweet! All our kids love her, and she is so wonderful with my special needs son. Laura rolls her sleeves up and jumps in where she is needed. In the time that we have known her, she has become an integral part of our family. She is calm, sweet, extremely organized and makes any activity fun.
