Hi Parents! I'm looking to supplement my full-time work as a Public Health Nurse by going back to my high school and college roots as a babysitter and nanny. Currently, I work as nurse home visitor teaching child development to parents and working closely with their children. Before nursing school, I was in NYC working full-time as a nanny, before that I was there babysitting for private families while in college. Why do kids like me? Just like Ms. Frizzle, I'm a good confidant. From newborn to preteen, I'm able to take interest in your interests by posing questions and letting you explain it to me. I'm comfortable and familiar with supporting a variety of special needs or preferences of your child or family. My rate is $15/hr and I'm looking to work about 6-10 hours a week. Evenings (4p-11p) and weekends are the best, but I'm open to wonky situations or some early mornings. I have experience with overnight and travel care. I'm CPR certified and after the kids go to bed I clean up toys, fold laundry, and do the dishes. I'm seeking LGBT friendly families who need a date night, evening shift, weekend, or last minute sitter. I typically hold a 3 hour minimum and 24 hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling. When starting with a family, I like to do a decided upon "trial period" and then come back and make sure we're all on the same page and everything is going smoothly (anything as informal as an email or chat). ***If the Phila School District has a snow closing, so does my day job and I'd be available in parts of west philly***
