Hi, my name is Sydney Mengel and I am a junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I was born and raised in Florida, but currently reside in Virginia. I recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and am currently applying to teach English abroad for the next school year. After that, I would like to study law after in order to pursue a career in business law. I have been working with children in a variety of setting for over seven years. My most recent work with children include helping the Girl Scouts in the Pittsburgh area. I am a member of Kappa Delta and we host local Girl Scouts at the University of Pittsburgh to teach them about confidence and talk to them about their future goals and help them achieve them. Previous to this experience I worked with children in many other settings such as at summer camp Read more as a counselor, babysitting and coaching. I coached volleyball to at the elementary level as well as at the middle school level for three years while I was in high school, a counselor for 6-8 year olds at summer camp, and I have babysat for local families and for families back in my hometown. In my free time I enjoy cooking, running and reading. I absolutely love animals, I have one at home in Florida and three here in Virginia, so it will not be a problem if your family has a pet!
