My name is Mariah, but my students usually call me Miss Riah because M's as hard. I began in childcare in January, and I immediately loved my position working as a substitute preschool teacher for the Learning Lamp. I focus on creative problem solving, communication skills, and behavioral skills, such as sharing and personal hygiene. When the outbreak of covid-19 hit in March, I was quickly out of the job. I began doing in-home childcare for two 4-year-olds. After my little friends returned to daycare full-time, I returned to the Learning Lamp as a preschool summer camp aid. This ends August 28th. For the last month of camp, I will be acting as the head teacher! I believe working with parents to provide a consistant developmental atmosphere.
