I have 3 younger siblings, the youngest being 12, so I've had good experience with young kids from the start. My experience with babysitting began when I was around 12 or 13. I grew up in a neighborhood with mainly families with young children, so there were often jobs available to me. The youngest I've babysat for was about 7 months old and was absolutely adorable. I am proud to say that I am very good at interacting with young kids of different ages; it's always been a strength of mine. The most recent babysitting job I had consisted of driving 2 young boys to and from school a couple times a week, as well as doing homework, crafts, and outdoor activities with them until around 4:30 when the parents came home from work. On a side note, I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for 2 years during Read more my high school career, during which I had to be CPR and First Aid certified. As a swim instructor, I taught swimming techniques to kids ranging from toddlers to 12-13 years old. It was a great experience and greatly increased my awareness of child safety, not only in pools but in other daily situations as well.
