Hello! My name is Carolyn.  I am currently a stay at home mom to an adorable 5 year old girl who will start school this fall, giving me a bit more time on my hands. I am an energetic person and I always try to be positive. Other than being a stay at home mom with my daughter, I have prior experience babysitting. I grew up watching neighborhood children and members of my family. Through this experience, I have developed the skills needed to care for children safely. I understand that things don't always go as planned with kids. They change their minds and moods often. I have found that having good patience is the best way to handle this. Remaining positive, engaging children and understanding them is my goal to keep kids happy. I am also a member of this website as a parent seeking a babysitter. I have Read more looked for an occasional babysitter myself and I understand the concerns and fears of parents doing the same. Every parent is different and parents their children differently. As a parent, I respect and understand that. I will do everything I can to respect your wishes when caring for your child. I am flexible in both my schedule and special requests because my focus is the happiness and safety of the families I care for.  I am comfortable with all ages. As a mother, and a lover of chubby cheeks, I enjoy the satisfaction that comes from caring and nurturing for babies. I also enjoy older kids who are learning about the world and eager to try new things. I can travel to you or babysit out of my home. I have a comfortable apartment, kept clean. My daughter has a ton of toys and games. We keep ourselves busy with frequent trips to either Annie's playground, or to the park and library that is within walking distance. I find satisfaction in both letting my daughter have fun as well as getting good exercise. It doesn't hurt that this tires her out by the end of the night as well! We also enjoy making crafts and coloring, playing board games, baking, dancing and listening to music, reading books and watching movies, as well as the occasional outing to a fun place like the zoo or aquarium.
