When I was five years old, I lost my title as an only child and replaced that with "big sister". I have two younger brothers who are 4 and 5 years younger than me and ever since I can remember I have helped my parents take care of them. From feeding and changing diapers in their early years, to now driving them to practices and making dinner when our parents have to work late. In this category I am an unofficial caregiver. Taking care of Liam and Quinn wasn't a job for me, it was my life. However, in addition to my 15 years as an older sibling, I have also taken the Red Cross babysitter course, and had various jobs over the years filling in for friends who needed a replacement for a night or two. I also have numerous younger cousins (ages 4-9) and have spent countless hours Read more watching them to give their mothers a well deserved break. The reason I myself never had a steady babysitting job was due to having various other part time jobs in high school, including working for Rite Aid in Barrington for 2 and a half years and a beach concession job for the summer before I left for college where I am currently in my second semester, pursuing a career in nursing. I am a natural born caregiver, it truly runs in my blood.
