I feel confident in the child care experience I have gained in the classroom, as well as in my community. I believe that I can provide a warm, fun, and safe environment for all the children in my care. I am looking for a babysitting position that allows me to form a close and lasting relationship with a family and their children. I can't remember a time when I didn't love being in the presence of children. I have been taking care of children since I was 13 years old. It all began when my twin cousins were born, and I eagerly took the opportunity to learn how to take care of them under the watch of my aunt. In the past ten years, I have babysat children, age infant to 10 years old, for close relatives as well as other families in my community. I have a bachelor's degree Read more in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island. My coursework has provided many opportunities for me to expand my knowledge of children and how to provide appropriate care to them. My course requirements also involved close encounters with children in professional child care settings. I have worked as a student intern alongside child care providers and young children at three different locations in the state.
