My name is Victoria Myshka and I am a senior Marketing Communications Major at Emerson College and will receive my degree this May 2014. I began caring for children at the age of thirteen and realized that my love for kids would lead me down a path where children would be incorporated into my career. At this age I would typically care for one to three children at a time between the age of 1 year olds - 10 year olds. As I continued to mature, I spent time helping my mother with the in home day care center she ran for neighbors and friends. This was where I was able to share my love of art and creativity with the kids and develop arts and crafts for everyone to enjoy. In my junior year of college I wanted to again incorporate young adults into my life and became an Resident Assistant. Through extensive training, I am now currently responsible for 59 ethnically diverse undergraduate students, which has been the most rewarding experiences. Being so close to graduation I have been constantly thinking about the future. My dreams would be to work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and make the dreams of children come true. I would also like to further my education by going to graduate school to receive my masters in education. I currently work as a TA for Playground Prep in East Greenwhich RI and provide afternoon care. I am CPR certified and have been finger printed and have had a background check. I am interested in the opportunity to become a care giver for your child(ren) because I believe that I can make the difference in the life of a child.
