I started babysitting by working as a "Mommy's Helper" for my aunt when I was 13, which entailed watching the children while she did errands around the house. I then graduated to babysitting at night for her three children (and sometimes their friends, which ended with me sitting for anywhere between four-to-seven children at a time). These jobs included watching the children, as well as making sure they did their homework, ate a healthy meal, and went to bed on time. I also help with light housework. Since then I have babysat for local families as well as chaperoned children's birthday parties. I am CPR certified and have taken babysitting courses.
