Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a 28 year old graduate of Salve Regina University. I earned a bachelors in Administration of Justice and a minor in psychology. Currently I am looking for families to sit for occasionally, such as date nights. I have loved spending time and playing with kids since I started babysitting at a young age. I have experience caring for children of all ages, including experience with newborns. If you are looking for someone to not only watch your children but engage with them, I am your girl! I am a firm believer in keeping kids engaged in both academic and social play. I love reading, crafting, playing games, swimming, going to the park, and whatever else your little ones love doing! I've worked primarily as a nanny over the past few years, and worked for a non profit at a group home before Read more that. I worked full time at the group home for almost two years before accepting my current nanny position. My position as a direct care counselor has given me additional experience in working with children who have special needs. These special needs include but are not limited to: Autism, Aspergers, PDD, RAD, depression, and anxiety disorders. I enjoy organizing and assisting with household errands and routines. I have experience preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks to children. I love to cook and bake, and have enjoyed getting preteens and teens involved in the kitchen! I am CPR and first aid certified (until end of September 2016). I am trained in therapeutic intervention techniques and medication administration. I have a clean driving record and have taken a defensive driving course. I own my own transportation, and I have many hours of experience with safely transporting children for the group home. I love animals, so pets are no problem! Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! Personal and professional references are available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you!

Katherine has been a wonderful sitter for my one and four year old boys. My oldest is always asking when she is coming over to play. She brings toys for them to play with and always arrives with a smile on her face. She is incredibly dependable. We will miss her when we move!

Katherine cared for our 1 year old son and 3 year old daughter four days a week this past summer. We live in Boston, otherwise I would never let her go. We absolutely love her. My husband and I call her Marry Poppins. Katherine is amazing. I have never had a babysitter like her. On average she was 10 minutes early (the latest she ever was was 2 minutes early!). She came with her own case of arts and crafts to do with our daughter everyday and would often show up with some new fun thing like giant bubbles or a kite to fly. She was great at managing two kids. She was fun and silly and playful while maintaining authority at all times. She handled our 3 year old daughter's limit testing behavior beautifully, worked with her on potty training and earned her love and respect. With the baby she was always talking to him, telling him the words for things, playing with and reading to him. She was so affectionate with the kids, always hugging them and telling them she loved them. She followed a routine, made healthy meals, bathed and even sang to them at nap time. Katherine was also really careful with the kids. I completely trusted her with them. She watched them like a hawk and was also really diligent about stuff like sunscreen and hats on sunny days. I never had to ask her to do something twice, she always remembered. At the end of the day she would fill me in on everything from what they ate to cute things they said or did. Katherine never sat around. If both kids were napping at the end of her day with us, rather than leaving a little early she would find laundry to fold, clean the kitchen, organize kitchen drawers, you name it. She has amazing work ethic and really takes pride in doing the best job she can do. She was always saying "I'm here to work!". I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about Katherine! -Heather

Katherine has been a wonderful sitter for our family. She has watched our 16-month-old daughter for daytime appointments as well as date-nights. She is so friendly, extremely punctual, and wonderful with kids. Our daughter was always so excited when Katherine would arrive to babysit and hardly even noticed when I left because they were already having fun playing together. We've had to move away from the area unfortunately, and have missed Katherine already!
