I am a very experienced nanny/babysitter who has been working closely with children of all ages for the past eleven years. I love establishing positive relationships with the families that I sit for, and in my hometown I have had the privilege of sitting for a family of three children since the eldest, now seven years old, was an infant. I am currently in medical school and plan to go into pediatrics. When studying at Brown University I studied child development. Not only have I taken relevant courses, such as "Children's Thinking," I have applied what I’ve learned in class to my many work experiences as a childcare professional. The summer of 2014, I was the Girl's Village Director at Camp Hazen YMCA in Connecticut. My position involved overseeing 104 female campers ages 7-15 and managing the 32 female counselors. It was my job to step in and work with Read more any children who were struggling emotionally, behaviorally, socially, or otherwise. I also maintained regular contact with camper parents when need be. I am responsible and professional, and I have a natural ability to engage with children and interact on their level, getting excited with them about anything from the movie Frozen, to dinosaurs, arts and crafts, or whatever sport they are currently practicing. I am currently looking for a family who is interested in finding a periodic babysitter for their little ones and I hope to build a lasting relationship, as I'll be in Farmington for the next four years. I love working with children of all ages – whether I’m taking an infant on a stroll around the neighborhood, reading stories to toddlers, helping teenagers with homework, or anything in between, I find true joy in spending time with kids and watching them learn and grow.
