I have worked with kids for about 8 years in many different contexts, from babysitting to drama teaching to tutoring at a charter school. I have experience with all ages, from pre-k to 8th grade, with my most extensive experience in the 7-10 year old range. I love spending time with kids and, after most recently tutoring in a charter school, I am looking for a chance to spend time with them in a more relaxed setting. I am happy to go on outings, play games, help with homework, cook, anything you need. Generally, I like to engage kids in physical or creative activities if they're interested--anything artsy like music and theatre games, and I am always excited to get out and about and go for a walk or bike ride. Relevant experience: Arts Education Intern at Village Theatre KIDSTAGE in Issaquah, WA--assisted Arts Educators in summer classes for a Read more range of children from ages 3-14. Drama Teacher at Youth Theatre Northwest in Mercer Island, WA--acted as the primary teacher of a summer drama camp. I led games, trips to the pool, reading, and arts and crafts. ELA and Math tutor for 3rd and 4th graders at Match Community Day--a high-stakes, no-excuses charter school in Boston. I worked closely with English Language Learners and students with special needs.
