I have always loved working with kids. I have babysat since I was 12 years old and I am 28 now. I have been a camp counselor in training or a camp counselor the past 9 years working with kids ages 5 to 12. I was a high school teacher for two years and then served through AmeriCorps for a year at the Providence Children's Museum and an additional year at the Roger Williams Park Zoo to help open the new children's play area, Hasbro's Our Big Backyard. I am currently obtaining my Masters in Elementary Education through Roger Williams University and Gordon School in East Providence where I am student teaching. I believe the safety of the children is always the most important part of my job when babysitting. That being said, I also think it is essential to engage the children I babysit in creative and fun activities. Read more I always make sure their homework is done before doing anything else. I feel comfortable feeding children meals, driving them places, and having play dates with other children. I am confident in my behavior management abilities so I am not afraid to lay down rules from the beginning so the sitting experience is as positive as possible. I am certified in First Aid and would be willing to take CPR training again to renew my CPR certification.
