I am family-oriented and have passion for education. I am a former college athlete and even played in the band! I am dedicated to the families I work for and am always going above and beyond expectations. I love the outdoors - from walks to sports - and I plan fun, rainy-day activities! I believe that a child who is engaged and interacting is a child that is always learning. In addition to child psychology, I am experienced with military families, as well as children who have behavioral challenges. I am fully trained in CPR and First Aid plus have certifications in child behavior and crisis prevention. I have taught swim lessons and gymnastics at local YMCA's. My experiences both in the classroom and with the youth programs I have worked in have trained me to be calm under pressure and ensure the safest environment. I enjoy a family-environment and always have open communication with parents. I am reliable and responsible with children of all ages. I am a non-smoker and have my own fully-insured vehicle. I love pets - I grew up with dogs, birds, cats and even chickens! I am well-rounded, personable, and friendly. My goal as a babysitter is to use those "little moments" in a daily routine to help children connect with the world...no matter the child's age. My joy comes from being able to help families with their childcare needs and in turn, keeping their child(ren) happy, healthy, and engaged.
