I am a Chinese-American adoptee and I am a 2019 graduate from Florida Atlantic University with a Masters of Social Work. For the past two years (2015-2017) I have been a teacher at a private school daycare in South Carolina. I'm a 2014 graduate with honors, BS in Early Childhood Studies from one of New England's most highly respected programs. I love being around children. They always make me smile and laugh. For the four years that I was in college, I gained many different experiences in new settings. They include working in an NAEYC accredited center, working with an educator from early intervention (early supports and services) and an early head start in NH. A few summers ago, I interned in NYC with a nonprofit organization in the recreation department. Past summers I was working as a camp counselor and junior counselor at Casey Farm Camp in Saunderstown, RI. I taught children about this working farm as well as doing farm chores and animal chores. One summer (2014) I was a mother's helper for a family that had three children, 5 months, 2 years and 4 years. We loved to go to the beach, park and the zoo. I have lots of experience with being a mother's helper (three kids - ages 4, 7 and 8, now teenagers) and babysitting (two kids ages 3, 5 and twins age 5, now 9). I cared for my younger cousins from the ages of 5 months to 14 years old. So, I have been around children all my life.
