Hello! I am a caring, energetic, mature person who loves children and animals. I work full time (8:00-2:30) as a teacher assistant. I've worked in all grades (K-12) at one time or another, in both regular and special needs classrooms. In the past I worked for the South County YMCA as a Site Manager for their After School program. I previously held certifications in First Aid and CPR: although they have expired, the knowledge has not and I plan to re-certify soon. I have an occasional babysitting job caring for 3 children. I've been with this family for 7 years, covering date nights as well as full 9 hour days during summer and school vacations. I've done crafts with them, read lots of books to -and with- them, played Hide and Seek, lead them in marching bands, raced Matchbox cars, attended tea parties, played with Tinker Toys, Barbies, Legos, and Read more -my favorite- Lincoln Logs. I prepared and served healthy snacks and meals with a creative twist and completed light household chores. The family will gladly provide a reference. My availability at this time is limited to weekends. I'm glad to assist your child(ren) with homework, serve snacks, play with them indoors and out. I’m a non-smoker and I am very comfortable with pets. I own a fully insured 2016 automobile and have a spotless driving record. All routines, guidelines or rules you have in place will be followed with firm, gentle guidance. Most importantly, your child(ren) will be safely attended to and lovingly cared for.
