I love children and my compassionate nature and friendly personality makes me get along with them in no time. I am able to keep children happy and this quality makes me happy too. I started babysitting around when I was 13 years old. I used to get so excited when someone called my mom to ask if I can babysit for them. I've done two terms of the HIRED Apprenticeship program with the Boys and Girls Club working at the daycare's on Ft. Jackson which was an amazing experience working with children from ages 6 months to 12 year old's. I recently did a year long program called The Literacy Lab with AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps is a service based program. I was a Literacy Tutor in DC. I worked at a school helping children that were under the literacy gap after I completed my term every child that was below the Read more gap were either at the gap or above the gap which was an amazing feeling seeing that I made a difference in those kids life's. I'm very passionate about kids.
