I’m a retired office worker. I began babysitting @ 12 yrs. old. As an adult, I babysat (6 wks-teens) for friends/coworkers to supplement income. I worked days soI could stay at homes of people that worked nights/weekends. I’ve sat with elderly/gone by to care for pets/homes. I’ve taken care of kids/pets while parents were on vacation. I’ve had parents bring kids to my home; they’d eat breakfast while we dressed; I would drop them at daycare on the way to work. I’ve sat so people could go out for dinner, movie, party or shopping. I’ve worked in nurseries for churches & Clemson University coaches during home football games. I raised my daughter; and (for fun) would pick up my niece(s) or nephew(s) (from 6 wks old) on Friday PM & keep w/me & my daughter until returned after Sunday church. I’ve been helping to care for my grandson since birth. Read more For past several years, I’ve helped care for my mother who has dementia. All with a painful back!
