I'm a passionate activist and writer. Originally from South Carolina, I am currently a rising senior at Colby College in Maine. I am studying Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and Creative Writing (with a focus in poetry). I often look after my niece (6mo), and growing up I frequently babysat with my older sister. I have also been an English and Math teacher in India for 2 - 10 year olds. I have considerable volunteer experience both abroad and domestic (from sustainable agriculture, to health care, to healthy masculinity summits). I frequently facilitate workshops on healthy masculinity and feminism 101. I have a passion for learning and hope to impart that on those I interact with. Above all, I believe in community building and empathetic, compassionate learning.
