I am currently an 18 year old female looking for a part-time summer job in Mount Pleasant, SC, with babysitting mainly involved! I am trying to earn money to help pay off for my tuition for my freshman year in the Pre-Nursing program at Newberry College (which is somewhat halfway paid off), and to earn money to get a phone (I currently have an iPod 4th generation that is slowly coming to an end), so I can keep in touch with my mom while I'm at college, including a bike. My mother works in Mount Pleasant at Dr. Pierce and Pierce's office, and works Monday-Thursday, but depending on the holiday, she might/might not work then, also we both live in a small town located in Orangeburg County, so it takes about an hour to get to Mt. Pleasant. I've loved being around kids younger or close to my age, since Read more the age of 9, thanks to the time I spent at my last daycare from 3rd to 4th grade, helping the workers there with the toddlers and early elementary kids during the summertime and before closing time on schooldays. Younger kids seem to enjoy my company, and I enjoy talking, laughing and having controlled fun with them. I also enjoy arts and crafts, video games, reading, music, and playing safely outside! As stated earlier, I am going into my first year in the Pre-Nursing program at Newberry College, starting in August, so I am very much hoping to get at least a little experience with handling other human beings. If possible, I might need to bring a close friend along, if I feel like I'll need help on that day, when needed. When it comes to discipline with kids, I am firm but fair, depending on the situation at hand. I don't tolerate bad behavior, unfairness, or bad manners. I expect the kids to be nice and sociable, well-behaved, and to be polite towards their parents and guests. My religion is Evangelical, so please do not worry about that! If hired, I will expect to have some sort of time schedule and notes on how to handle them (describe their needs in full detail, please!). If they have special needs, please show me how you give their medicine, shots, etc. If they can't have or use certain things, I would greatly appreciate if you'd let me know in advance!
