Due to a division shut down, I recently retired after working 27 years for a durable medical equipment company as an insurance documentation specialist. I have basked in the joy of my new found freedom for the last 8 months. I am now ready to embrace a new chapter in my life. One that brings me joy and happiness and gets my creativity flowing. That last sentence describes how I feel when I am with my three grandchildren, ages 5, 9, and 11 years old. They live in Charlotte so I don’t see them as often as I would like, but I have been apart of their lives since they were born. They make me extremely happy. I am a hands on “Nana”. We dance, and sing, make up stories and games. I have always enjoyed many different hobbies which include sewing, painting, arts and crafts, and all types of Read more needlework. My middle grandchild once asked me to fix the sole of her boot…..I can do a lot, but shoemaker is not one of my talents. She was disappointed because as she put it “Nana can do everything!” I am looking for part time or occasional work. I have a car and am flexible on the hours. I would prefer daytime, but am open to occasional night time.
