Hello, my name is Alexis Smith. I'm 18 years old with a passion for children. I've been working with children hands on since the age of 15. First starting with my niece, then I've recently taken/completed the Early Childhood Education II course. In this course we had to go on work sites and work with children hands on for 60 hours. After completing the right amount of hours, we then had to take profiency 132 and 135 (health, safety, and nutrition) test. Which we had to pass in order to complete the class. In this class I've learned a number of things including; safe and fun activities to do with the children, how to change diapers, how to build children up and to understand that each child is unique. I've also helped out in the Wee Academy Learning Center for about 6 months for Beta Club where I worked with Read more the babies/toddlers.
