I have spent 19 summers at a sleep away camp, Camp Ma-He-Tu, in Bear Mountain, NY. The last 9, I have been on staff. I began as a Counselor in Training. Through the years, I have earned positions of more responsibility. I have been the Head of Athletics, which entailed implementing the athletic programming for the campers. I have also been the Head of Nature, in which I taught basic survival skills, hiking procedures, and set up interactive tanks with local wildlife. My final position was as the Assistant Director. The responsibilities included assisting the young women on staff in communicating with the director and board of directors. While working at this camp, I have been trained in basic safety procedures, as well as assisting campers to navigate social situations, bullying, and homesickness. I have also had experience in various babysitting jobs with children ranging from infancy to 12 years Read more old. I have coached and refereed soccer for our local soccer league as well for young children. Please feel free to contact me! I'm more than happy to help when I can!
