Hi there! I am so glad you choose to read a little about why I love being there for little ones. Other than my natural calling to help and be there for people, I am a mother of a 2 year old Girl, Tiller. I started really studying and getting to understand the mind of a child and their development after my niece was born in 2011. Children need consistency, nurturing, protection and activity among other things, but those are the 4 things I really focus on. I am also a licensed cosmetology and have managed two salons in the North Augusta area. After I managed that gave me the incentive to open be an independent contractor and I built a very good business doing hair with a very prestigious clientele. I did childrens cuts for 1/2 off because I felt the parents already had to stress, so they deserve Read more a break! 😄 During this time I babysat two children 3 nights a week both under the age of 6. I was noticing That was the highlight of my week and cut my hours and took on being a part time nanny for my neice as well. I know that I have a natural calling to help children and parents in anyway I could. About a year later, I became pregnant and had my daughter in 2014. My motherly instincts only made my passion for children's development even stronger! In addition to being there for your child I will keep a clean house/area. There are a few personal no-no's that I stand pretty firm on and I figure to lay them out before contacting me in case we don't agree. I feel TV's are glorified babysitters. I allow little to no access of the television while I am sitting. I don't allow any use of electronics that aren't educational. I do feel that electronics are a GREAT way to PREVENT tantrums while out and about, so I usually keep one close by then! Other than that I like to come up with fun (usually cheap) activities and then the child won't want or even think about the television! My "no-no's" are for children 1-5 years of age. Newborns may like stimulating visuals so a television MAY be necessary at times. I do not spank (I have been told to spank "if I need to" by parents). Not against spanking, I just don't use that approach on my own child so def won't on your. Hopefully we agree on those two things! I am very understanding of parent's needs and will respect and follow through with any wishes or demands regarding your child. I really hope this was helpful and you think I will be a good fit for you and your child(ren). Please contact me, let me be there for YOU. ✌🏻
