I have worked as a baby sitter for a few families, one from my church watching a four year old and seven year old boy for a summer. I have also watched a neighbor's three year old boy for a summer. However just because I'm a guy doesn't mean I can't play dress up or have tea parties with the girls. My nieces are seven and three now and all their lives I have been their living play thing anytime I come to visit them. I have also worked with two different summer camps. In high school I was employed by The Boys & Girls Club of America for two years, working both as a tutor and a summer camp counselor for kids ages 6-11. I also worked at The MountainCamp in Highlands, NC for three summers. Here I worked with campers ages 6-17, and even lived with the kids Read more for two weeks at a time while they were there. I'm CPR, AED, and First Aid certified, and have had to personally administer back pats and the Heimlic maneuver to a choking camper (I was successful in doing so although it scared the heck out of both of us). I'm also an avid hiker and soccer player so if you want your little ones to run around in the perfect guy to keep them active. I have some experience working with children on the Autism spectrum, and although I am by no means an expert, I am confident in working with children of various special needs backgrounds. As active as I am, I am also comfortable in a calmer space with kids whether it be playing board games or reading books. I also love pets and have experience working in a dog kennel, so any furry friends will be cared for as long as I'm around. I just graduated from Appalachian State University in December with a degree in Political Science and am staying in Spartanburg until I head out for law school in July. My hours are very flexible as I currently do not have another job, and I would love to work for you and help keep your family happy and healthy. I know how important childcare is to parent's, and I can guarantee I will not let you down.
