I have finished all of the coursework for my PhD in Counseling Psychology and am about to defend my dissertation. I have a masters in mental health counseling and have worked as a child and family therapist. I have worked with children of all ages for over 10 years in numerous capacities: day care provider (3 years), therapist and skills trainer (2.5 years), researcher with children, camp counselor, and extensive baby sitting. I initially got my First Aid/CPR training at the age of 13 so I could start baby sitting because I loved children so much. Since then, I have been re-certified probably 4 times, however, I do not currently have an active First Aid/CPR certification. I worked in the infant/toddler room of a day care center for two years and have done a great deal of professional work with elementary, middle, and high school aged kids. I am working Read more part time as a secretary this summer while finishing my dissertation. I would love to babysit this summer to earn some extra money and because I honestly just love it. I'm a very creative, kind, and responsible young woman and to me there's no better way to spend time than to spend it when children.
