I have been babysitting most of my life starting when I was introduced to my first Neice! I have grown up with multiple children in my life and once I realized at a very young age I enjoyed watching my family members I made it a business. I would pass out flyers during the summer and on weekends watch my cousin kids which multipled over the years. At the age of 12 I was watching two 4 year olds and a newborn baby! Whom I have enjoyed being apart of their growth process. Upon entering my last year of middle school I then became a caretaker for my grandmother who raised me up until her final moments a week after my 18th birthday, but don’t worry after this traumatic experience my dream didn’t fade. I went on to become an expanded duties pediatric dental assistant , where I have learned Read more the skills to calm down upset and confused children to be able to get work done efficiently. I have learned to deal with parents in distress, in return gaining their trust to work on one or more of their children. I am BLS/CPR certified, and with much training over the last three years to recognize signs of distress. I also gained the skills to be sympathetic when I was doing sedations on children 3xs a week with the supervison of my Doctor. My days have been filled with children! It has been joyous, and I plan to continue being a caretaker in my future endeavors.
