Hi, my name is Bethany Spangler, I am 21 years old and I am a college student at Lee University. Babysitting is something that I have done since I was old enough to get my babysitting license. When I was twelve years old I took a class at a local college that certified me in CPR, first aid and the essentials of babysitting. I started by nannying for a single mom who was a GE Executive, she had one son that was two years old. About a year later she had a daughter that was born and I began watching both children. Shortly after her daughter was born we learned that she had allergies to many foods, therefore I had to be very careful about what was being fed to her and her brother. As I got older I began to do overnights with the children when their mother had Read more to travel for work. I would get them up and ready for school, drop them off and then pick them up at the end of the day. I continued to work for this family until I left for college and still work for them when I go home. I have also worked for many other families and at places like church nurseries. I have had experience with children of every age and love to learn alongside them. I love working with children because I feel that they need positive reinforcement in their lives and I have the patients and heart to do that. Their innocence is inspiring and I love their outlook on life. I am qualified to work with children because I have taken classes to train me in first aid and CPR, but the real reason I believe that I am good with children because of my willingness to work with them and help them understand new ideas.
